There’s so much to love about Autumn and the colder months.

As I’m getting older I quite look forward to the cosier months (never thought I’d say that when I was younger ) 😂, curled up in front of the log burner, especially with a good book whether that’s a hard copy or audiobooks (I do like both).
Also with a cup of tea, I’m quite a tea snob, I love a good Lady/ Duchess Grey tea...😂

Oh, I might need to explain the ‘cwtchy’ word in the graphic...it’s a much used Welsh word. A cwtch is the same really as a hug, only it’s better than a hug...!
There’s really nothing like having a cwtch off Mamgu or Nain (both those words mean grandmother).

What a difference in two days…!

Yesterday was cold, wet, windy & generally really horrible…a proper cwtch up and do nothing with a cuppa & a blanket sort of day.

Today, still a little windy, but sunny, blue skies and a whole lot nicer day today.

There was lots of flooding around where we live, I hope you managed to avoid all that & you stayed safe and warm. We were lucky, there was flooding just a few hundred yards from us and quite a bit in our village.

What have you been up to this weekend…anything nice..? I’d love to hear about it.

With the weather so wet, wild and windy today, perhaps it’s the perfect excuse to slow down, put the kettle on, snuggle up and enjoy a little time doing absolutely nothing. ☕🍂

Not every moment needs to be productive, and not every day needs to be filled with plans.
You don’t need perfect weather, elaborate plans or a special occasion to enjoy a slower, cosier life. Sometimes, a rainy day and a warm cuppa are quite enough. 🤎

A little visitor to the new bird feeder I bought a few weeks ago…

How cute is she..!! 😍

I know it’s probably a male robin because of its red breast, but I like to think of it as a little female, busy, busy, flitting about and gathering enough food for the day.

I love watching the birds in our garden, and if, like me, you hear different bird calls but are never quite sure which birds they belong to, I’ve found a really helpful little app called Merlin Bird ID. It listens to the birds around you and helps identify them. So easy to use!

What I find particularly interesting is that it’s picked up Tawny Owl calls on numerous occasions. Apparently, they’re not commonly reported in our area, so it makes me feel especially lucky to hear one at night. I absolutely love listening to him… there’s something so relaxing about those nighttime sounds. 🦉🤎

It’s a dog’s life….. 🐾😂

We arrived at the caravan yesterday, got ourselves sorted and sat down for a little chill. Next thing, up jumps Pup onto the sofa for a cwtch with Dad. 🥰

It’s such a hard life being so gorgeous and wonderful. All that travelling to the caravan is so tiring for a girl, don’t you know..! 😂🐾

She really is a Daddy’s girl. You don’t normally see one without the other! ❤️

The funny thing is, she actually sleeps like this in her own bed as well. 🤣
